File Compare Tool (the "App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Please read it carefully.

1. Information Collection

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any other personal data.
• We do not collect your file contents. All comparison operations are performed locally on your device and do not require an internet connection.
• We do not track device identifiers (such as IDFA, device serial numbers, etc.).
• We do not use any analytics tools or third-party SDKs to collect usage data.

2. File Access

• The App uses the iOS system UIDocumentPicker to let you select files. It only reads the contents of files you actively choose for comparison.
• The App does not access other files on your device without your knowledge.
• Once a comparison is complete, the App does not retain copies of your files. File references exist only while the App is running.
• The App supports iTunes File Sharing and the Files app integration solely for your convenience in managing files. It does not scan or collect these files automatically.

3. Network & Data Transmission

• The core file comparison feature works completely offline and does not require a network connection.
• The only time the App requires network access is to load this Privacy Policy page.
• Your file contents are never uploaded to any server.

4. In-App Purchases

• The App offers a one-time "Premium Membership" purchase that unlocks all features.
• All payments are processed through Apple's StoreKit system. Payment information (such as credit card numbers and billing addresses) is handled directly by Apple and is not accessible to us.
• Purchase records are stored locally on your device (via UserDefaults) and are not sent to our servers.
• You can restore previously purchased memberships at any time through your iTunes / App Store settings.

5. Data Storage

• The only data stored locally by the App is your membership purchase status, used to determine feature access.
• Membership status is stored as a simple boolean value in the device's UserDefaults and contains no personally identifiable information.
• The App does not create user accounts, maintain user databases, or use cloud storage.

6. Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party analytics services, advertising services, or social media SDKs. There are no third-party trackers of any kind within the App.

7. Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect any information, children can use the App safely.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If material changes are made, we will notify you within the App.
